Kyoto has been voted the top city of the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2020, reclaiming its 1st place title after ranking 7th in last year’s voting.

Wanderlust magazine is a travel magazine aimed at people who love to travel, including those seeking adventure, cultural experiences, and also luxurious resort retreats.

The Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards are largely based on customer satisfaction for travel during the previous year, and top city Kyoto received a 96.92% satisfaction rate. Kyoto is also the only city that has placed in the top 10 for 6 years in a row.
