Kyoto City is a MICE city of history and culture. Just a short distance away are the "Another Kyoto" areas, blessed with tangible and intangible cultural resources and natural resources nurtured in a rich natural environment, and divided into "Kyoto by the Sea," "Woodland Kyoto," "Kyoto Tea Country," and "Kyoto Otokuni Bamboo Grove" according to the attractions of each area. This section introduces the attractions of MICE in the "Another Kyoto".

Kyoto Prefecture has a wide variety of venues, large and small, that can accommodate from 10 to 1,000 people.You can find a venue to suit the size of your MICE event.In addition to conference facilities, there are also a variety of lodging facilities.
Another Kyoto has a number of parks, such as, Maizuru Akarenga Park(Maizuru Red brick Park). Special MICE venues that take full advantage of regional characteristics=Unique Venue is a place where you can enjoy a variety of events. The only one and only one venue that why not hold a MICE event that can only be held in the Another Kyoto?
"Another Kyoto" has experiences ideal for excursions and incentive tours, such as a visit to the boathouse in Ine, a tea-picking experience, and a kayabuki (thacthed roof) villege home-stay experience. A wide variety of tourist attractions are also available for after-convention enjoyment.
The Kyoto Convention & Visitors Bureau will provide full support, including introduction of MICE facilities, acceptance of inspection tours, PR support, and after-convention proposals.We also have a subsidy system in place to provide generous support for holding MICE in Another Kyoto.
From international conferences to excursions and after-conventions, we will introduce another model case study of MICE in Kyoto.
Maizuru Bay Plaza
Capacity: 336 people in the hall, 1 room for 15 people, 3 rooms for 12 people, etc.
Amanohashidate
The "Kyoto by the Sea" in northern Kyoto Prefecture is home to the Maizuru Bay Plaza, where the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Maizuru Meeting 2018 was held. In addition to the meeting, visitors can also visit Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, and the Ine Funaya (boathouses), which still retains the atmosphere of a fishing village. Furthermore, Kyoto by the Sea is also a treasure house of food, and in winter, visitors can enjoy many gastronomic delights, including Tango's brand-name crab, the Taiza crab.

Capacity: Convention Hall (1,200 people), Hibiki Hall (220 people), 5 large halls (200 people)
Hozugawarafting
Located in the center of Kyoto Prefecture, "Woodland Kyoto" is home to Galleria Kameoka, Another Kyoto's largest capacity facilities.Galleria Kameoka is conveniently located right off the Kameoka IC and can accommodate up to 1,300 people. In addition to conventions, the unique experiences that can only be had here, such as a ride down the Hozu River, are another attraction of this facility.

Capacity: Hall (642 seats), 3 meeting rooms (large, medium, small)
Tea picking experience
Keihanna Plaza, a cultural and academic exchange facility of Keihanna Science City, is located in Kyoto Tea Country. It is close to Osaka and Nara, and can be used for conferences, ceremonies, corporate training, and many other areas. In addition, tea plantation walks and tea-picking experiences are available, and Byodoin Temple, a World Heritage Site, is also located here in Kyoto Tea Country.

Nagaoka Tenmangu Shrine
Located southwest of Kyoto City, "Bamboo Village, Otokuni" is the area where Nagaokakyo, the capital of Japan, was once located, and is said to be the birthplace of the folktale "Taketori Monogatari"(The tale of Princess Kaguya). In this area associated with bamboo, visitors can experience bamboo crafting, making chopsticks, rings, and other items from bamboo. Visitors can also visit Nagaoka Tenmangu Shrine, where Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning, is enshrined, and feel the history of Japan.

Another Kyoto venue, called "Unique Venue," allows you to create a special atmosphere by holding your conference in a historical building or cultural facility, making it possible to hold your MICE in an atmosphere that can only be experienced here.
