You can expect a variety of facilities of various sizes throughout Another Kyoto, which means you can find a venue that matches the size of your MICE event.
In addition to meeting facilities, there are also plenty of accommodations.
We call special MICE venues as “Unique Venues” that make full use of the characteristics of the region, such as stadiums and “Maizuru Brick Park”. Why not host MICE at the one and only venue that can be found and realized inside the very "Another Kyoto"?
What you can only experience in "Another Kyoto", such as visiting the Funaya boathouse in Ine or tea-picking experience, are perfect for excursions and incentive tours. There are plenty of tourist attractions to enjoy as after-convention activities.
We, the Kyoto Convention & Visitors Bureau, would certainly like to fully support you concerning hosting MICE events, such as introducing facilities, having them accept your inspections, focusing public relations activities and proposing after-convention matters. We also have a subsidy system in place.
Kyoto by the Sea is on the Japan Sea side of Kyoto Prefecture. It is home to mythological and legendary stories from ancient times. The grand views of sky and ocean are featured in many poems written by the nobility of the Heian court when Kyoto was the capital. Here visitors will find untouched landscapes that helped create the history of Kyoto's ocean, including Amanohashidate, one of Japan's top three scenic views, and the boat houses of Ine, a unique fishing village.

The Yamashiro region spreads across the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, is a producer of tea with tea fields in the pockets of mountains. The region has supported the Japanese tea culture for over 800 years, producing high-quality teas like matcha and gyokuro. There are temples and shrines with historical stories, including World Heritage Sites, national treasures and important cultural properties.
