The Rihga Royal Hotel originally opened in 1969. Situated near Kyoto Station, Kyoto’s main access gateway, it has welcomed countless guests from all over the world into Japan’s great city of history and culture.
After temporarily closing in February for major renovations, it reopened for business on September 8. With the aim of attracting new visitors from abroad, the remodel has be especially been designed to appeal to the tastes of visitors who are excited about experiencing Japan.
Everywhere you look in the hotel, you will see modern design that has been beautifully paired with Kyoto-style aesthetics. The interiors feature flagstone flooring and decorations of bamboo groves. The hotel now offers a 489 guest rooms and the buffet restaurant has been expanded from 120 – 180 seats.
The Rihga Royal offers 19 banquet rooms of different sizes that can be used to house everything from small private events, to exhibitions, corporate meetings, to large events, conventions, etc. The hotel is happy to work with customers to choose the perfect venue, provide elegant catering, and offer heartfelt hospitality to make sure all participants have a memorable day.
For example, the large banquet room on the second floor can be divided in half, allowing for participants in a meeting on one side to easily move over to the party on the other side. The hotel’s 17 other medium and small sized rooms can be used for things such as breakout sessions, greenrooms etc.
In commemoration of the new re-opening, the hotel will be offering events free 30 minute extensions on 2 hour room rentals, special drink menus, and other special promotions for a limited time until March 31, 2017.
